1200 tribal children need your help with their preschool education

Imagine being born in a region rampant with malnourishment and deprived of educational facilities. You are denied access to basic nourishment that is required for your physical and cognitive development. Kalahandi in Odisha is one such region.

Although rich in its tribal culture, due to the region’s backwardness and poverty the number of young children who are severely malnourished is high. Coupled with the inaccessibility of anganwadi centers in tribal hamlets, the young children in this community are the most vulnerable.

Swasthya Swaraj Society, through its preschool education programme, empowers young tribal women with capacity building training and equip them to provide preschool education to 1200 children aged 3-6 in 80 villages across Odisha's tribal Kalahandi belt.

1.     Capacity building and training the young tribal women in nurturing the preschoolers.

2.     Provide nutritional supplements to help combat early childhood malnourishment.

3.     Resources to improve the cognitive development and intellectual growth of the child and make them school-ready.
