Every child has the potential to learn. But for many children growing up in underserved communities, the opportunity to learn with confidence is not always easy to access.

This is why SP Seva Sansthan Foundation started the Kids Learning Centre (KLC) initiative in 2021.

Our journey began with just one centre and 10 children. Today, KLC has grown into 9 active centres across Rajasthan and Gujarat, reaching 850+ children annually.

But behind every number is a child.

A child who wants to read.

A child who wants to be heard.

A child who wants to dream.

A 14-year-old girl from a slum community in Ghodasar had never been to school. When she first joined our Kids Learning Centre, she could barely read or write. She was shy, often missed the centre and had family responsibilities at home. Her parents sold vegetables, and she was expected to help with the family and care for her younger siblings.

But our team did not give up on her.

We spoke with her and her parents, encouraged her and gave her a safe space where she could learn without fear or embarrassment.

Slowly, she started coming regularly.

She learned to read and write Gujarati. She began participating in activities, interacting with other children and, most importantly, became more confident in herself.

She told us:

“I want to study so I can manage my family’s work in the future. I don’t want anyone to look down on me or make me feel ashamed.”

For us, this is what education means.

It is not only about books, reading or writing. It is about giving a child the confidence to believe that their future can be different.

At our Kids Learning Centres, children receive foundational learning support along with activities that encourage creativity, communication, confidence, life skills and positive behaviour. We also engage parents and communities because a child’s learning journey continues beyond the centre.

Our centres are designed around the realities of the communities we serve, providing children with a supportive learning environment where they can learn, participate and discover their potential.
