ChildFund India is a non-profit organization established in 1984 and since serving the need of children in India. In the last 41 years we reached to millions of children in need from hard to reach areas from both urban and rural regions.

We work in 72 districts across 14 states in India. In the last year we supported 4.53 million children, youth, women and communities.

What makes ChildFund India’s approach unique is the focus on child as a whole, encompassing the community ecosystem around them. Our approach is based on the belief that “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child”. And thus, we partner with parents, teachers, health workers, community leaders, government agencies, and donors to create safe and supportive environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

We focus on education because it is the most powerful, far-reaching, and sustainable way to transform the lives of children in need. The role of education in a child’s life with limited resources can be transformative and multidimensional. Education equips children with knowledge and skills to enable them to come out of generational poverty, open doors to opportunities and play a pivotal role in overall health and wellbeing of the child.

India has made commendable strides in expanding access to education, challenges remain in ensuring quality learning outcomes, reducing dropout rates, and addressing disparities in education access.
