At Yellow Streets, we believe change often begins with something small: a child receiving support to stay in school, a young person finding their voice, a woman learning a skill that can lead to independence, or a community coming together to create what it needs.

This Joy of Giving Week, we invite you to be part of these beginnings.

Yellow Streets has grown through the time, skills, resources and belief of our children and young people, community leaders, volunteers, collaborators, friends and supporters.

And right now, there are a few things our communities are ready to take forward.

Where will your contribution go?

📚 1. Education Continuity for Children

For many children, consistent academic support is the difference between staying in school and dropping out.

Your support helps us provide:

• Regular teaching interventions
• Study materials, notebooks, and learning resources
• Academic mentoring until children appear for their exams

This ensures our children don’t just start the year—but finish it with confidence.

🎬 2. Filmmaking Workshop for Young People

We are launching a hands-on filmmaking workshop led by professional filmmakers.

This initiative will:

• Introduce young people to storytelling through film
• Provide access to basic filming equipment
• Enable them to create films rooted in their lived experiences

These stories deserve to travel beyond the streets they are born in.

🧵 3. Reintroducing Community Skill Training for Women

We are reviving and strengthening our women’s skill-building programs, with a focus on employability and dignity.

This includes advanced-level training in:

• Stitching and tailoring
• Beautician and hairstyling
• Cooking and catering

Funds will support:

• Training materials and tools
• Skilled trainers and facilitators
• Practice resources and certification pathways

🤝 4. Sustaining Partnered Initiatives

Yellow Streets collaborates with multiple grassroots partners to expand reach and deepen impact.

Funds will support:

• Shared program resources
• Coordination and facilitation support
• Ongoing engagement with partner communities
