Rebuild Basic Facilities in Government Schools

Last year; over 14,000 students in India died by suicide, the highest number ever recorded.

In a government school in Rohini, the girls' washroom lock has been broken for months.

In Shalimar Bagh, there is no support staff, so teachers arrive early and sweep the classrooms themselves. In another school, there is no guard and no peon, so the principal answers the gate every single morning.

In Rajouri Garden, a boys' school floods into a shallow pool when it rains, and the boys sit through class wet for the rest of the day.

Across all 15 of these schools, there is no counselor. Not one.

These are not children failing to cope. These are children coping, every day, with conditions no adult would accept for themselves, in a system where no one is watching closely enough to notice.

NEEV works inside 15 Delhi government schools to fix exactly this: broken infrastructure, missing staff, no counselor, the everyday conditions children have quietly learned to live with. We are raising 95 lakh rupees to put a locked door, a person at the gate, and a counselor who is actually present into these schools, starting this year.

This is not a pledge for later. It is a fix, for a child who cannot wait.
