Story

With the onset of the pandemic, school students have been one of the most affected demographics in our country due to intermittent pauses in their education. This was the case for all school students, be it private or public. However solutions were found and the medium of education was shifted online. But for those who lacked access to technology, this consequence of the pandemic had a compounding effect over the last two years.

The Board Examinations are a milestone for all in our country and become part of their record for life. Achieving positive results in an increasingly competitive has become a necessity. Here, those lack access to technology and constant support from family and society, tend to stumble. Not to mention the side-effects of COVID-19 of not being able to concentrate better, brain fog, etc.

Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute of Fine Arts & Crafts (SSMI) runs schools which have witnessed such cases and would like to address them by providing the necessary support both academic and financial. While providing them with high-quality secondary education, SSMI would like to provide them with extra support by creating a Scholars Group, where students with high academic potential, talent and tenacity, would be selected for a curated programme to further hone their skills and provide them with the foundation to perform well at their upcoming 10th Class Board Examinations.

Through the Scholars Group, students will receive hands on academic tuitions by expert teachers in English, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, thereby providing them with complete guidance for an important milestone in their lives. These extra classes will not help them academically, but will also provide them with tips on how to gauge the examination paper on the given day, how to articulate their answers.

All these measures would greatly boost their morale as well as their confidence, which is much needed to transform their lives in a positive manner.

We hope to achieve the following:

  1. A substantial increase in their academic prospects and, later in life, their career prospects through this programme.
  2. Increase their capability to not just pass the exam, but also to achieve good results
  3. Expanding this Scholars Group on a year-on-year basis to aid and assist students achieve better higher education
