Quality health and lifestyle is a cause of concern in the growing urban population. This was a pressing issue, specifically with the underprivileged working sector. Hailing from a poor economic background, the majority of un-organized working sector people do not give any priority to their health and lifestyle-related issues. Furthermore, the un-organized working sector people cannot afford to nutrition rich food. Such a situation is leading to serious health issues in the sector. Also, in general, the un-organized working sector does not get an opportunity to do a preventive screening and understand their health issues and plan their medical requirements.

AMBA Arogyam aims at providing preventing screening and diagnosis to underprivileged working sector to identify and diagnose any pre-existing health conditions in the patients and thereby develop a 12 months treatment plan to provide adequate treatment and medical support for the patients. The project also aims at providing counselling to underprivileged on their health condition and thereby create awareness on their health and lifestyle. The project aims at providing free-of-cost treatment and medical aid (outpatient basis) to the patients for 12 months.

AMBA Arogyam can create a huge impact on the health and lifestyle of the underprivileged working class in and around Ambattur Industrial Estate by providing adequate screening and diagnosis support to the underprivileged working sector and thereby improve their quality of health and lifestyle. The project can save the patients from serious health risks sometimes leading to patient’s death due to lack of proper screening and treatment in time.
