I am Anandi Sanghi, I am a student at the cathedral and John cannon school in Mumbai. Over the years I have been part of numerous projects and I want to continue helping people in anyway possible I have learnt from my parents that how much ever you do to help its never enough and that helping others should be a constant and a way of life

The 2021 edition of Fit4Concern is a wonderful opportunity for participants to make a positive contribution for a good cause. A month-long virtual movement, starts from 1st July 2021; an initiative by Kabir Diwanji, a grade 11 student from Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. Kabir has combined his passion for running with fundraising for a good cause. Through this effort Kabir aims to raise funds that will be used towards strengthening the PHC systems in the rural pockets to blunt the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on the health and well-being of millions.

“We, living in cities are having a tough time coping with this pandemic. Hospitals don’t have space, beds aren’t available, oxygen is scarce. People living in rural and under-developed areas have it much worse than us. They don’t have access to equipped health care, medicines and vaccines. We need to collectively help these parts of our country or there will be fatalities and this pandemic will be never ending. By helping them we are helping ourselves. By taking part in this fund-raiser, you will be equipping the rural pockets to look after their communities! And all this while you stay in good shape yourself – run, walk or cycle”, says Kabir Diwanji.

Raise funds by walking /running /cycling and help boost the Primary Healthcare Centers in Maharashtra.

Primary Healthcare Centers (PHC) are intended to deliver comprehensive care throughout the lifespan and are not just for a set of specific diseases or infections. Comprehensive care ranges from promotion and prevention to treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care - as close as possible to people's everyday environment. Many PHCs and sub centres in rural areas are in dire need of refurbishment. With the pandemic and the suggestion by researchers that the pandemic is here to stay for a while, it clearly calls for a greater need for stronger and empowered health centres.
