Most street and wild animals still do not have the luxury of basic medical treatment. The responsibility then rests on humane organizations like ours to extend our technology and support to them. Thousands of these animals die miserable deaths on the roads, unattended and alone. Several thousands are abandoned because of medical conditions, leaving them to die on the roads. Animals have a right to live alongside humans, they are an integral part of the ecosystem. They have rights. But they do not have the capacity to provide relief for their disabilities. Working for animals rights and welfare we consider providing critical care hospital services to street animals as of utmost importance. This is because we not only consider that animals should have equal rights, as humans, but also because we are duty bound towards the health of these non human citizens, who are a part of our social and environmental fabric, who depend on us to provide them ameliorative help.
BASED ON OUR BELIEF “EQUAL MEDICAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL SPECIES”, THANE SPCA PROVIDES SPECIALITY MEDICAL TREATMENT AND CRITICAL CARE SURGERIES TO STREET ANIMALS AT PAR WITH THAT PROVIDED FOR PET ANIMALS IN PRIVATE CLINICS.
OUR CORE IDEA IS ALSO OUR VISION
● TO BECOME THE PREFERRED SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR ANY ANIMAL WITH ANY NEED.
● TO RUN A STATE-OF-THE-ART HOSPICE WHERE NO ANIMAL WILL BE DENIED TREATMENT BASED ON SPECIES OR PEDIGREE.
● TO RUN THE ORGANIZATION WITH VALUES THAT WILL BE OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES FOR EVERYTHING WE STAND FOR, SAY AND DO
By providing hospice services, critically ill animals are given specific treatment to relieve them of their distress and then returned to their territory, ensuring harmony in society.

Due to the increase in number of animals needing critical care and Trauma care, we need to raise funds for providing better facilities and higher manpower care to each animal.
Street animals have a unique place of importance in our community. It is our obligation to give them a healthy life if they are to be of service to us. Surgical intervention means that at least 40 animals a month will be spared living on the streets with apparently incurable conditions, fending for themselves, succumbing to untreated illnesses, become the victims of abuse, or be turned over to an animal shelter and finally have to be euthanised because they were a burden on society. This is the hallmark of a progressive society where animals are given equal treatment as their human counterparts.
