AXF Free Learning Centers for Children

Angel Xpress Foundation (AXF) is a volunteer led, community-based non-profit that seeks to bridge the socio-economic divide in our cities by empowering students from low-income families through education, skilling, and overall development.

Our Vision:

For every child to be mentored by an involved, educated, empathetic adult to discover and achieve their true potential.

Our Mission:

Over the past 13 years, we have grown from one free learning centre with 80 children to 31 established centres with almost 1,400 volunteers mentoring close to 3100 students in foundational English and Mathematics as well as high school (SSC and HSC) curriculum.

Our programs also build various socio-emotional skills in our students to enhance confidence, interpersonal capabilities and other life skills including spoken English.

To provide opportunities for dedicated and enthusiastic adults to mentor first-generation learners from underserved communities, we collaborate with local communities, schools, corporations, government agencies, and other developmental organizations. Our aim is to nurture young minds and prepare them for a brighter future through holistic development.

Measuring Impact

• Measuring academic performance (baseline, monthly, term exams, attendance) along with volunteer engagement through mid-year and end-of-year reviews 
• Qualitative feedback from students, parents, and volunteers through PTM and feedback meetings

Looking ahead:

We aim to expand our educational reach by establishing 50 Free Learning Centers (FLCs) and extending to four (4) new cities by 2028 impacting 7500 children through our programs.
