Baban, an LGBTQ+ member needs a job immediately: URGENT APPEAL

Despite being a graduate, Mantu Bakshi of Jalpaiguri, a member of the LGBTQ+ community (preferred name Baban), has been unable to find employment due to discrimination and prejudice. He has been severely ridiculed and uprightly rejected due to his trans identity. His desire to undergo Gender Affirmation Surgery, a crucial step towards establishing his gender identity, remains unfulfilled due to no job and financial constraints. – (All personal credentials government identity has been vetted and shared by our task force)

Mantu has passed graduation (marksheets verified with consent) from University of North Bengal in the year 2019 but is still unable to get any jobs due to the gender discrimination. Mantu has appealed for an emergency fundraiser to help him fund his technical job training for 4 months followed by a guaranteed employment with an employer with a non-discrimination policy in place. This job will help Mantu not just to get a dignified job but also a decent income which will support him undergo his Gender Affirmation Surgery.

Your contribution will help Mantu with the necessary job training followed by an employment with ANUDIP’s hiring partners who are gender friendly with strict non-discrimination policies. Our special task force working with 50+ such employers will hire candidates like Mantu and create a more inclusive workplace where everyone is accepted and respected regardless of their gender identity.
