Bahina

“Bahina”, the proposed project is about production and sale of pickles and spices. BNGVN is committed to give employment to maximum women through this project. Through this project we have formed 20 entrepreneur groups of women there are 5 women in each group. These group are formed for purchasing the raw materials, processing and production of food products and packaging for all these process. We are submitting the project.

Salient features / elements of “Bahina” projects:-

• Production and sale of mango pickle, lemon pickle, chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, spices and other food products.
• Orders for food processing and its packing of products by “Bahina” or any other companies and enterprising groups, will be considered. This will create employment opportunities for maximum women from Bahadarpur and its vicinity.
• Inspired by Bhagini Nivedita Gramin Vigyan Nikletan, “Ruchashree International pvt ltd.” has been established. As of now, sale and marketing of food products made by “Ruchashree” and other enterprising groups are done along with products made by “Bahina”, under this project.

This has created employment opportunities for many more women.

Beneficiaries: -

Over 20 deserving women entrepreneur groups (around 100 women) will get employment opportunity in processing unit and management of this project.

Objective :-

• Provide unadulterated food products to the society though this project, when there are adulterated food products in the market.
• Increase production and provide quality food products at reasonable to the society with the help of advanced technology.
• Create employment opportunities for the needy and deserving women.
• Strengthen rural economy.

Methodology :-

• Women entrepreneurs groups will be established and various products will be produced by these groups. Some groups will be given these income through marketing. Each group will consist of 5 women.
• Along with its own food products, “Bahina” will accept orders of food processing and packing from “Ruchashree International pvt. Ltd”, “Nirmal chandra” etc. Objective of this is to give employment to beneficiary Women Entrepreneur Groups .
• Utmost care will be taken that the products produced under project are pure, of good quality and not harmful for the environment or health.
• Required measures will be taken to ensure that the safety against any accident in the center, cleanliness of the premises where food products will be produced and processed as well as personal hygiene of those working in the center are maintained.
• Proposed building will be owned by BNGVN but its maintenance, repairs and other recurring expenses will be done by “Bahina”.

Outcome :-

• As the needy and deserving women and youth from the villages will get employment locally, migration to cities from these villages will be reduced to a great extent.
• Respect for the beneficiary women will be boosted among their families in particular and society in general as they will be the source of income for their families. This will help them to be part of main stream of the society.
• The project will set a good example for prodding establishment of small enterprises in rural area.
