"Poshan Saathi" is a grassroots initiative focused on supporting ultra poor tribal children aged 6 months to 5 years in remote villages of Deoghar district, Jharkhand. Through daily nutrition, fun-based learning activities, regular health monitoring and community involvement, the project seeks to build a strong foundation for healthy physical and cognitive development. The initiative not only provides direct nutrition support but also strengthens family and community awareness around child health and early education, ensuring a sustainable impact.

Why your support matters?

According to NFHS-5 (National Family Health Survey 2021), 36% of children under 5 years in Jharkhand are stunted and 30% are underweight. Malnutrition and poor early stimulation are critical barriers to children's healthy development in rural Deoghar.

Your support will provide-

• Daily distribution of 150 ml fortified milk and nutritious snacks to each child.
• Daily learning activities (oral, playful, and early educational exercises).
• Quarterly health check-ups to track children's growth and development (weight, height, mid-arm circumference).
• Promotion of hygiene practices through interactive group sessions.
• Community awareness cum sensitization meetings on nutrition, child care and early stimulation for parents and guardians.
