Story

As we all are going through this unfortunate phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, where the whole world is struggling to survive, the state of Bihar has another inevitable difficulty due to massive floods in various regions. The miseries of the people are compounded by both the pandemic and the excruciating floods. With serious stress on healthcare services & crumbling financial conditions of the common people, our moral compass should function in a way that would give a fresh sigh of relief to the people who are already buckled down by the pressure of both the pandemic and the devastating flood. The flood conditions have exacerbated the life of the people from the fringed elements of society. To tide over such a crisis, our combined effort in collecting certain financial resources can help them to survive & nullify their problem to certain extent.

As the world experiences unprecedented challenges, we at Umeed Foundation volunteered by HELP foundation are committed to providing critical support to the vulnerable populations that are acutely impacted by unfortunate events. We are taking an initiative to work in flood-affected areas of Bihar

Our mission is to work in providing better food to the survivors of floods.

For those across the country, who wish to feed them & help us continue with the relief work, we solicit your kind contribution

Umeed has joined hands with HELP Foundation as their volunteering partners in order to help the people that have

been affected by this massive flood.

HELP foundation has been working on the ground level in the Vaishali district of Bihar in order to emphasize with the poor people and farmers that are

effected by the flood and helping them for relocation to a temporary shelter.

Khareef crops for the farmers have been totally destroyed and they are just helpless. We will be distributing enough

rations to these people so that they can at least get their food for the next 2 months at least.

Our AIM is to provide ration kits to 1000 families at least. 1 ration Kit includes:-

Rice -22Kg

Pulses -5.2Kg

Potato -18Kg

Salt-1.5kg

Turmeric and Chilli Powder -250gm each

Mustard Oil-2 liter

Soap-2 pc

Disposable Mask -5

This ration kit will cost 2000 each that can feed a family of 5 members.

Our Farmers are in need and we are trying our best to help them when they actually need us.

By the end of 2022, our aim is to ensure that almost all the people of Bihar can have their 2 times meal in any adverse situation.
