Story

Our School most of the students came from Rural areas. In the rural areas parents are mostly agriculture-based workers. So, we pick up the students from their doorsteps in very early. So, they are skipping their breakfast. The Morning Breakfast Scheme plays a vital role in supporting both the physical health and educational outcomes of school student.

The Morning Breakfast Scheme offers several benefits for our students:

1.   Nutritional Support: Providing a nutritious breakfast helps students start their day with the necessary energy and nutrients, enhancing their overall health.

2.   Improved Concentration: A balanced breakfast can improve focus and cognitive function, which is crucial for learning and retention in the classroom.

3.   Increased Attendance: Schools that implement breakfast programs often see higher attendance rates, as families are more inclined to send their children to school knowing they will receive a meal.

4.   Better Academic Performance: Studies have shown that students who have regular access to breakfast perform better academically, as proper nutrition supports brain development and function.

5.   Social Interaction: Breakfast programs can foster a sense of community among students, encouraging social skills and interaction with peers.

6.   Reduced Behavioral Issues: Proper nutrition can lead to better behavior in class, reducing instances of hyperactivity or concentration-related challenges. 7.Addressing Food Insecurity: For students from low-income families, breakfast programs provide essential food resources, helping to alleviate hunger and its associated challenges.

World Down’s Syndrome Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in our school on 23rd March

Our students actively participated in various games and recreational activities, filling the day with smiles, energy, and togetherness. It was truly heartwarming to witness their happiness and confidence.

An insightful session by Mrs. Jansirani helped everyone understand the importance of this day, creating awareness about children with Down’s Syndrome and the incredible potential they hold.

The program was beautifully hosted by Mr. Nithish Kumar, with a thoughtful special address by Mrs. Gowsalya. We sincerely appreciate the dedicated efforts of our teachers, Ms. Kamaladevi and Ms. Jayamalathi, for organizing such a meaningful event.

This celebration became even more special and impactful because of the generous support of our donors. Their continuous encouragement and contribution have brought positive changes in our school, creating more opportunities, joyful experiences, and a better learning environment for our children.

Because of their support, we are able to nurture confidence, inclusion, and happiness among our students. We are deeply grateful for this meaningful partnership that helps us make a difference every day.

A volunteer camp was successfully conducted at Loyola College on 06.03.2026 by the Chennai Volunteers Organization, bringing together volunteers from across the city. The event served as a meaningful platform to promote social responsibility and community engagement.

As part of the camp, an exhibition and sales initiative was organized to showcase products made by students from various NGOs. Our school proudly participated by presenting and selling vocational products created by our students.

The enthusiastic response from visitors not only encouraged our students but also highlighted the importance of supporting skill development initiatives. Contributions and encouragement from generous donors play a vital role in empowering these students, boosting their confidence, and helping them move towards a more independent and dignified future.
