Bridging the gap between teaching and learning

At over 400 million children India has the world's largest child population. 11% of children do not end up going to school. Out of that 57% don’t finish primary school, 90% drop out and only 10% go on to college.

After the government imposed the Right to Education Act, there has been an increase in access to education. However, being in school is not enough, what matters is if children are learning. According to the ASER report, only 42.5% class 3 students can read class 1 text. 24.5% of children enrolled in Std V can read simple English sentences.

One question that often arises is, ‘Do students learn when teachers teach?’ Parth aims to bridge this gap by working with schools to improve the standard of education in India.

We work towards creating a learning environment that encourages parents, teachers, principals & supervisors to work together to achieve meaningful, holistic education for all children.

We work with parents to help them realize how their role extends beyond sending their child to school.

We guide teachers to assess each child’s level, prepare detailed class goals and regularly reflect and re-assess their improvement.

We help supervisors set a clear vision for the school and empower their teachers to be better educators.

Since 2015, we have worked with 7 schools having directly & indirectly impacted 3500 students, 250 teachers, 25 supervisors and 1100 parents.
