This problem of blood shortage cannot be solved without your help. It is only dues to the efforts of volunteers and supporters like you who save lives every day. Take this incident for example: On the 29th of May 2020, the Covid scare was not the only battle Agra was fighting. The city of taj was in the midst of a storm and the BloodConnect received an urgent request for a delicate 15-days old baby boy. His blood was severely infected accompanied by swelling in the brain. He needed platelet donation to survive. Our team worked like heroes to find a volunteer who in turn saved that baby in just an hour.Your donation could save a life. BloodConnect is India’s largest student run organization which is functioning to curb the problem of blood shortage. We do so by extensively working in 3 domains and solving a 360˚problem-Organizing Blood donation camps- collaborations with colleges, corporates, RWAs to organize unique and interesting blood donation camps.Organizing awareness sessions- These include audience engaging methods like street plays, competitions and sessions- targeted at motivating people, particularly the first-time donors, not only to donate blood for the first time, but to continue doing so at least twice or thrice a year.Annually, the number of units collected in India by voluntary blood donation are far less than the requirement, which is why the blood banks ask for units in exchange for every unit that they provide. While the people with huge social circles may be able to do for accidents, surgeries, etc. there is also a section of people who require blood more than once a month, and their need is like food and water for us, healthy human beings. Annually about 10,000 people are born in India with thalassemia major. Currently, we’re a country of over 100,000 thalassemia patients and they rely on our donations.2020 was not a good year for everyone across the globe. Millions of people died due to pandemic. But in those dark times there were organizations, people working across the globe with just one thought in mind: How to save a life?Bloodconnect being one such organization where everyone did their best to make India blood sufficient.These are some of the achievement that happened during 2020.•	Across 41 cities of India, a total of 114 camps were set up, where 5125 units of blood was collected.•	4319 people were answered through our helpline.•	More than 15,375 lives were saved.•	35 awareness activities were done to register more donors, which helped in gathering 536 self-registered donors.•	We revamped our website and team app, increased our reach on the social media platform, and 50,77,899 people were reached.We are always trying to reach more, do more, provide more and we pledge that in the upcoming years Bloodconnect will make India, blood-surplus.
