CanKids KidsCan - RightToHealth and Access2Care For Children With Cancer

80% of children with cancer live in low-middle-income countries like India. They have less than a 20% childhood cancer survival rate. In terms of numbers, India accounts for 80,000 cases out of 400,000 cases worldwide. With a survival rate of only 35 to 40%, India falls extremely short of the global standards of 85 to 90%. Children with cancer and their families need your help, and they need it now!

CanKids KidsCan - The National Society For Change For Childhood Cancer in India works across the entire spectrum of Childhood Cancer Care. Through our signature program YANA - You Are Not Alone - we hold the hands of the child with cancer and family, and we partner with hospitals, medical professionals, and state governments to enable access and best standards of treatment, care, and support.

Led by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKids is committed to helping children with cancer get the Right to Health - “to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health and to facilities for the treatment of illness and rehabilitation of health - to ensure that no child is deprived of his or her right of access to such health care services “.

This project is an umbrella to raise unrestricted funding to support children with cancer! Just Rs 1000 brings a child with cancer closer to victory by providing them with medicines, nutrition, and counseling

All donations raised would be used towards treatment, care and support including but not limited to drugs, diagnostics, nutrition, counseling, and education support.

The Campaign and Project will

1. Provide funds: the more funds we raise, the more children we will be able to support. This is how we will be able to provide equal access to Care for Children with Cancer and their families in the Country. Providing Holistic care to children will improve Survival Rates, Enable the Right to Health and Quality of Life during Cancer treatment and after, and Secure the 5 Rights of the health-impaired child with cancer - to Health, Education, Childhood, Pain-free, and Palliative Care and the Right to be Heard.

2. Create awareness across sectors in society about Childhood Cancer.
