In this fight against the COVID – 19 pandemic, it is imperative to take extra precaution to ensure cancer patients are well informed and safe from this virus due to their low immunity.

 

CanSupport offers free palliative care to cancer patients in their homes through visits of a team of doctor, nurse and counselor. Most of the patients are from poor marginalized backgrounds.

CanSupport is seeking your support to help continue the activities to insure cancer patients are safe:

  • Spread key messages to patients, their families and caregivers about measures to prevent the infection.
  • Take actions for early detection and referral of suspected COVID-19 cases.
  • Symptomatic medical support and provision of medicines and medical supplies.
  • Nursing care, nutritional supplements (Fresubin, etc) to boost immunity and nutritional advice.
  • Distribution of gloves, sanitizers, soaps, masks, sanitary napkins and other hygiene items to the families.
  • Psychological counseling, dealing with anxiety and depression, for both patients and families.
  • Distribution of Dry Food Ration to destitute families who are without job and means of survival.
