Care for the destitute elderly

Aged parents being left alone to fend for themselves in villages and tribal areas, have no food, healthcare, hygiene or clean beds. Children leave their parents and move on to other towns and cities for a better livelihood. If the one of the aged couple passes on, children are unwilling to take care of the single parent as well. These seniors need to be provided for.

We built Godavari Nilayam Old Age Home with a capacity for providing for 75 residents. Their food, bed, health, hygiene and entertainment is taken care of. The residents are free to move out into the village, it is not a confined residence. The nilayam provides food to those who are unable to come to the home as well. We have employed 3 full time members and 2 parttime members to take care of the operations of the Nilayam. We have also entered into a partnership with neighbouring hospitals who have agreed to perform free health checkups.

The aged destitute should live their last remaining days in the world in peace. Provide a family amongst friends and well wishers for the destitute. Upon their demise, the last rites should be attended to so they can rest in peace.
