Our children are reading now, a 70% of them, where there was less than 10% literacy. As they are developing love for reading, we do not want to fall short of continue providing them best possible books. Help us make it happen.We are absolutely thrilled to shout it out loud, "Yes, we have done it! Today, 71.4% of our children between 7-15 years are reading and many are developing love for it!" We entered the new academic year with an ambitious, scary, but very crucial goal for our children: that at least 70% of the children above age 7 should be able to read by October 2024! Help me support a cause close to my heart

We are working for the children in our region (central India) who do not have access to quality education, mainly due to a lack of good schools, socio-economic conditions, or the remoteness of the region. We identify ourselves primarily as a research and resource organization and we believe that it is through human resource development and collaborations that we will be able to work most effectively for our children. We have two important programs, a teaching fellowship, intended to develop leadership/quality human resources in the region, and second, reaching more children through supporting the other organizations in the region. We are working with over 700 children every year directly through about 20 learning centers and over 35 teachers/educators. Our fellowship alumni are working with 11-12 organizations in the region, reaching over 11,000 children. Over 15-16 organizations in our region and throughout India have reached out and used pedagogy and people development resources developed at Learning Companions.
