Learning outcomes hit across India after COVID

•The ‘Annual State of Education survey (2021) found that <50% of children are unable to catch up with age-appropriate learning following Covid-19 related lockdowns that interrupted education

•Specific attention is needed to help make up learning losses, especially in the lowest classes

In our community, we found this particularly impacted child who:

•Can’t go to school regularly because they are compelled to help their parents with work, owing to a lack of resources

•Are unable to get a good education because their families have migrated, interrupting their education

We focus on the students most in need

•We onboard students whose learning outcomes are below standard (measured by a baseline test)

•To check the progress level of students, midline & end-line surveys are conducted during the middle/end of the year

We deliver a comprehensive and engaging program

•Through a focused education program, emphasizing language, math, science, technology, personal and public health, we aim to bridge these learning gaps

•We ensure a fun, child-friendly environment, incorporating activities such as “rangometry” to teach maths, “stonework” to teach counting, painting, and storytelling

•In 2022, we reached 212 children, of which 182 children stayed till our endline

•Average learning scores in Gujarati improved by 13 points, in Mathematics by 14 points
