Mudita Foundation is a registered trust committed to tackling and preventing abuse and violence affecting children, adolescents, and youth — both in the physical and virtual world. Our interventions focus on awareness and capacity-building programs designed to strengthen prevention and promote safer environments. Read more about us on www.muditafoundation.in
The key issues we address include child sexual abuse, online abuse, and workplace harassment. Since 2019, we have impacted over 12,000 children and adults through partnerships with 49 schools, 65 organisations, and 14 CSOs and corporate partners.
In 2025–26, we proudly participated in the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon for the first time, with the goal of raising funds to empower youth from marginalised communities to become safety champions . Our intervention focused on creating awareness about risks to personal safety, understanding workplace harassment, and building knowledge around the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act amoung youth students enrolled in employability programs of NGOs in Delhi/NCR
With the extraordinary dedication of our volunteer, Ramanujam Pobbisetty, who truly ran the extra mile for our cause in the marathon, we successfully raised ₹1.7 lakh through this platform. These funds have enabled us to empower 380+ youth in Delhi NCR between October 2025-April 2026, equipping them with the awareness, confidence, and knowledge needed to safely transition into the professional world.
This year 2026-27, we aim to expand our impact to 500 youth through 35 structured interactions across Delhi, in partnership with NGOs running employability programs. Beyond student engagement, we also aim to:
Appeal: Help us create safer and thriving spaces for the young generation of our country. Help us empower them with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves in situations of risk and seek help. Together we can ensure that no youth has to choose between safety and opportunity.
Project Details :
Young people are stepping into the world with ambition and promise — but many, especially young women from marginalised communities, enter it carrying fear. Harassment in public spaces and workplaces, online abuse, exploitation, and coercion are real risks that force them to constantly calculate their safety. Too often, they turn down opportunities, silence themselves, or shrink their dreams just to feel secure.
As a part of our awareness project, Pahal, we are trying to empower youth. Through focused, interactive sessions, we equip youth with knowledge of their legal rights — including protections under the POSH Act — and the confidence to recognise, respond to, and report unsafe situations. We create safe spaces for dialogue, strengthen support systems, and nurture young leaders who become safety champions in their communities.
This project ensures that no young person has to choose between safety and opportunity. Our target is to raise INR 422950 through our participation in NMDC Hyderabad Marathon. We aim to conduct 35 sessions with an average 20 youth students in each session,15 sessions with family members of these students and 2 sessions with trainers of the employability programs between October 2026- September 2027.
