Our NGO USHA KIRAN CHARITABLE TRUST(R), is based out of Mysore Karnataka and we are committed to impacting and improving lives for 25 years now. To take our objective a step further, we have begun a crowdfunding campaign to raise 2500000 (Twenty five Lakhs only ) for the EYE CARE.

Our focus is on childhood blindness which includes cataracts at birth or young age, Traumatic cataracts, Squinting, droopy lids, Tear sac blocks at birth, and rarely high eye pressure resulting in glaucoma in childhood, and Life-threatening Retinal tumours.

In the last 25 plus years, we have screened over 500,000 children, through children's vision screening programs, provided over 15,000 spectacles, and done over 700 major eye surgeries ( all under general anaesthesia) through outreach work as well as through in-house work. These surgeries for tiny kids mean lots of expenses consumables for eye surgery, towards anaesthesia, safety, hospitalisation, post-operative medications, post-surgery care, and the professional fee of anaesthetists, eye surgeons etc

These programs require a lot of money and we are driven by passion and a philosophy that no child should be denied treatment and care for want of resources. A team of 10, are working hard to help us meet our objective of transforming lives. But we can’t do that without you. Join us in helping millions with your generosity.

We do screenings in schools in Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajanagar Government schools.

We detect children with eye problems and give glasses to those who need them. We also refer children to hospitals that need detailed examination. These children are referred to Base hospital, where medical treatment and surgical treatment are undertaken by the experts.

We want to have a situation wherein no needy child has to suffer because of the financial hardships.
