Campaign by Solid Waste Management Round Table (SWMRT)
Help us raise funds for carrying out programs at our experiential learning Centre SGKK, that is changing the way we think of waste and in turn creating a huge impact on the SWM scene.
60% of municipal solid waste consists of kitchen waste/wet waste. This organic waste contains a lot of nutrients that can be converted into a resource via composting, and returned back to enrich the soil. If this waste can be managed sustainably, we will be addressing 60% of the problem faced by our city! It is that simple!
When we think of waste we think smelly and dirty and yukky. We need to Change the narrative of waste. If it is managed responsibly, waste becomes a valuable resource. SWMRT aims to achieve this paradigm shift in the way we see waste.
