COVID Relief Saathi Program

In light of the complete shutdown of most production related activity from March 24, 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak, there was bound to be a significant impact on the lives and livelihoods of daily wage earners. Based on a quick need assessment done at the ground level, PLS realized that the most immediate need and has been working on grassroot level focusing to work on grounds to support the people who need support..

1.      Dry Ration Kits to Daily Wage Earners, Migrant Laborer’s, Families in Need & COVID Tested Families who are isolated

2.     Disposal and Cloth Pad Sanitary  support to Women with No access to sanitation

3.     Medicine Support, Oxygen Concentrators, Beds, PPE Kits, Mask, If thermometer, Oxymeters and Sanitizer Distribution

4.     Extending Financial Assistance support to underprivileged families where the breadwinner has met with sudden demise due to COVID'19

Beneficiary Selection Criteria

Daily wage earners, families living Below Poverty Line, and migrant workers, Folk Artist, Community, Tribals , Isolated Families, Patients in Government Hospitals and their family Members

Process Flow

1. .Creating awareness to identify responsible citizens in the community who could volunteer for the distribution of kits at their home.

2. Identification of daily wage earners and migrant workers in containment zones with the help of volunteers and the project team of PLS through door to door distribution

3. Distribution of kits was done with the beneficiaries directly picking up kits from the space where materials were stocked i.e. either from PLS’ office or from volunteer’s place.

4. Guidelines given to the Project Team to ensure safety of every team member and volunteer were strictly adhered to. Volunteers were provided with mask and gloves. Kits were distributed following social distancing practices.

5. Proper hygiene was ensured through sanitation of premises on hourly basis.

6. Proper PPE Access to distribution staff and Management Process 

Impact to Create :

We aim to support 50000 people with Dry Ration Kit including communities like Daily Wage Earners, Migrant Labourers, Fold Artist, SLum Dwellers. and 5 Lac women with Sanitation support

-       33655 Dry Ration Kit distributed to the Deprived Different Communities across 15 Districts of Rajasthan

-       1.6 Lac Cooked Food Packs distributed under initiative FoodSteps during COVID & Flood Relief Support

-       5000 WaterBottle, 200 Kgs of Tang, 200 Dairy Milk Choclates,12000 KinderJoy Choclates, Mayonese and Seasonig Edible Items distributed 1000 Kgs, Muselie 88 Kgs, Milk Shake 200 Nos, 250 Colgates, 1000 Packs of Uncle Chips, 1000 Ferroro Choclates, 200 Kg of Dry Fruits was distributed as Immunity boost

-       55 Pregnant women supported with Nutrition Dry Ration Kit

-       1500 Namkeen and Biscuits and Confectionaries was  distributed to Migrant workers

ANIMAL FOOD SUPPORT

-       400 Kg Dog Food for Stray Dogs

MEDICAL SUPPORT

TARGETED SEGMENT – Front Line Warriors, ASHA & ANM Workers, PHC, Hospitals, Field Workers, Isolated Families

-       250+ PPE Kits, 2 Infrared Thermometer, 2 Oxymeter,

-       5000 Mask , 100 Face shields, 500 Headcaps, 500 Gloves and  5000 Sanitizers

-       Saved 351 Families with  Oxygen Concentrator

-       Supported 25 families with Medical Supplies

SANITATION SUPPORT

TARGETED SEGMENT – Girls & Women

-       150000 Organic Biodegradable and 15000 Reusable Cloth Pads were donated to women living in slums and Containment zones & Rural Parts of Rajasthan,U.P & Jammu

CASH SUPPORT

TARGETED SEGMENT – Migrant Workers

-       Cash Support extended with Rs 255500 Rs for Migrant Workers walking on streets for Travel Support
