Covid Relief Support

Gadchiroli District is one of the worst affected regions in eastern Maharashtra having highest number of Covid cases among its neighbouring areas in the past few months. With crumbling health infrastructure and too many families to support, the local administration is not able to reach every needy in the area. Many families have lost their sole bread earners to Covid and are struggling for their survival; Covid affected patients who are home quarantined are not able to get basic nutritious food, medical supplies and necessary care. Our ASHA and ANGANWADI Health workers, fondly called as Corona Warriors are also working 24/7 to ensure maximum help is given, but their efforts are under-recognised and under-paid. SPARSH is now initiating a fundraiser to help mobilise funds for a variety of causes that will aim to improve and aid all the Covid affected people in the region.

1. Financial help for Covid Affected Families: Many families have lost their loved ones/sole bread earners to Covid and are left with no financial assistance; SPARSH is initiating a drive to help such families in the region for their sustainability;
2. Arrange Medical Supplies/Ambulance Services: Since the local administration/hospitals are overloaded, we plan to provide help with monitoring/assisting the home quarantines patients in the region
3. Distribute Ration/Medical Supplies to Covid Patients/Affected families: Maximum outreach to the rural families who have lost their livelihoods/loved ones due to Covid;
4. Generate Livelihood for the Tribals Generate livelihood for the Rural/Tribal Population: To help the rural/tribal daily wage worker families to sustain their living inspite of the pandemic;

1. Reach more than 1000 Covid affected families to provide them necessary financial help/Medical assistance/Distribution of ration kits;
2. Distribute atleast 500 or more ration kits in the tribal/rural region of Gadchiroli
3. Supply medical essentials like medicines, Oxymeters, thermal scanners to the ASHA workers to help them monitor and assist home-quarantined Covid patients
4. Generate livelihood for Covid affected families who have lost their bread earners
5. Provide financial remuneration to our frontline health care workers
