Story

Child Help Foundation (CHF) is a child-centric non-profit organization, which operates on a pan-India level to uplift the lives of underprivileged children and families. A lot of children belonging to the weaker sections of society are finding it difficult to get medical treatment at hospitals due to the ongoing pandemic situation in our country.

The pandemic has also created a loss of livelihood to most families from the weaker sections of the society be it daily wage earners, stall vendors, migrant labours and this has resulted in their children going to sleep on an empty stomach. One of the main reasons that children in India have a high mortality rate is because they have no access to quality food and nutrition.

The second wave of the COVID-19, with nearly 3 lakhs new cases being registered every day, is way worse than the first wave. This time, last year, the number of cases recorded were about 5,000.The massive spike in the number of COVID-19 cases is leading to a major shortage of oxygen cylinders, Remdesivir injections, the number of ambulances available, and the number of beds available at concerned hospitals. The new strains of the virus are causing an enormous amount of chaos, which is becoming difficult to deal with.

Child Help Foundation under its Emergency Medical Support program is striving to save as many lives of children as possible many of whom suffer from non-communicable, life-threatening diseases like Cancer, Thalassemia, Premature births, and also help children who are in need of organ transplants.

Throughout the pandemic, Child Help Foundation has been actively providing warm, nutritious meals to 1800 needy individuals on a daily basis in Borivali, Gorai, Kalwa, Thane (W), and Airoli (Maharashtra), Dilshad Nagar (North-East Delhi), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Chilika (Odisha), and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh). We have been at the forefront to provide Ration Kits at the community level to those families who have lost a means to their livelihood.

CHF is also providing medical equipment and consumables needed during these unprecedented times to partner hospitals.

We aim to save as many lives as possible and strive to see that there is further loss of our near and dear ones due to COVID19. To make a difference through our campaign "COVID19 Emergency Relief Work’’, many little contributions can together create an impact big enough to save someone’s life. We kindly request you to come forward and donate to this noble cause. Together, as one, we can break this ongoing cycle of COVID-19.
