Covid-19 Relief Campaign

The unprecedented situation the Coronavirus has unleashed upon us shows no sign of abating. The economy is very slow to recuperate and many of our countrymen continue to struggle to have a square meal. Some of the workers have managed to go home and are living a life of some dignity. However there are many who are still in urban areas and have no hope of doing any better back in their villages. As economic opportunities continue to be limited and the virus surge show no sign of abatement, Prayatna continues to upscale our dry ration and hygiene kit distribution. 

Our typical dry ration kit consists of 5 kg rice, 5 kg atta, 1 kg Dal, One bottle mustard oil, some essential spices, salt, sugar, tea etc. costing about Rs. 750 per kit. The hygiene kit consists of two bars of soap, masks, detergent powder, a bottle of phenyl, sanitizer, sanitary pads etc. costing about Rs. 400 per kit. 

In the next two months Prayatna hopes to distribute 500 dry ration kits and 1000 Hygiene kits in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Nagpur and Guwahati for which we need Rs. 8 Lac.

Some of us are fortunate enough to share our good fortune to those who are living at the very margins of society. We owe it to ourselves as concerned citizens to alleviate the pain of our fellow countrymen and lend our support to minimize the suffering in these very testing times.
