COVID19 Response

COVID19 has led to severe economic impacts all over the country, but largely in major cities such as Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune, where daily wage works, migrants, rag pickers, orphans, elderly are left with very meagre resources to address the need of food and other basic necessities.

Rise Against Hunger India has been working in partnership with over 75 organizations catering to the basic needs of daily wage workers, housemaids, street vendors, roadside sellers, rag pickers, destitutes, orphans & abandoned senior citizens. RAHI has already supplied 1 million meals to these vulnerable & worst-hit group during the period of March 25 to May 05, 2020.

The immediate outcome we want to achieve is to ensure that communities under distress have enough food to eat and sustain themselves till complete normalcy is restored. This will serve the dual objective of addressing the immediate issue of food scarcity and uncertainty that these people are facing and, alongside that, it will assure them some sort of stability to restart their livelihood options.
