Story

Empowering Minds through Vocational Training

We are reaching out to invite you to join us in an impactful initiative aimed at transforming lives and fostering independence for individuals with intellectual challenges. Our vocational training unit, situated within the Asha Niketan, specializes in crafting candles, handmade handicrafts, and pen stands. We believe in the power of vocational training to empower these individuals and provide them with valuable life skills.

Objective:

The primary objective of our vocational training unit is to create a supportive environment where individuals with intellectual challenges can develop practical skills, gain a sense of accomplishment, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Projects:

  1. Candle Making: Our participants engage in the art of candle making, producing a range of beautifully crafted candles. This not only hones their creativity but also provides a marketable skill.
  2. Handicrafts: Through various handicraft projects, participants create unique and artistic pieces. This not only enhances their fine motor skills but also fosters a sense of pride in their creations.
  3. Pen Stand Manufacturing: The production of pen stands not only provides a practical skill in woodworking but also contributes to the creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing items.

Budget Breakdown (Rs 10 Lakh):

  1. Materials and Tools: Rs 7,00,000
  • Procurement of raw materials for candle making, handicrafts, pen stand manufacturing, mats, pillow covers.
  • Purchase of necessary tools and equipment.
