Creating a generation of SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE, ACTIVE JUNIOR CITIZENS

As India grows to be the 5th largest economy in the world, with the largest population, including the largest number of youngsters, it’s a good time to reflect on how the youth will contribute to India’s growth story. Will the demographic advantage that India has, contribute positively to India’s growth? Or, will it be hindered by issues such as a lack of direction, weak civic responsibility, communalism, patriarchy, caste divisions,and a lack of purpose etc?

CMCA’s approach on Citizenship education is founded on the basic premise that children are born citizens. It is however important to prepare them adequately by providing young people with an experiential curriculum designed to instil these vital skills of Citizenship Values & Life Skills. We use interactive and engaging activities to help our students develop a strong sense of civic duty and social responsibility.

We do this by engaging with young people at the grassroots in educational institutions (schools and colleges) and community spaces (libraries, skilling and learning centers), through experiential programmes that address element of responsibility and respect, empathy and equality, gender values, personal Integrity, living in harmony with nature, along with key 21st century skills suitably woven into the program and pedagogy.

The courage and determination exhibited by our children to act as change-makers in their communities and inspire others to do the same sets in motion a ripple effect of transformation that extends far beyond their individual efforts.
