55 million Indian became poor due to healthcare bills in 2011-2012. One can only imagine the numbers that go untreated and unable to lead productive lives.
Created Dakshas, a sustainable, scalable, collaborative elective surgical service, that can afford to be ethical
1) stringed pre-paid, redundant systemic healthcare resources, available for free/very low cost
2) bridged gaps in the system; owns critical process, equipment and staff
Delivers orthopedic to below poverty line, overcoming financial constraints
When at scale the model will expand itself across geography and elective surgical specialties.
Built capacity to provide free consultation to 3000 patients and perform 60 free surgeries per month. Has three out-reach centers and three surgical centers in its loop. 6 philanthropic orthopedic sub-specialists on its panel.
