Stray dogs and other animals on city streets are subjected to unimaginable abuse at the hands of people. These voiceless animals are purposely run over, beaten up, and even attacked with acid or hot oil. Darshan along with India Animal Foundation (IAF) has come to the aid of hundreds of such abused and mistreated animals providing them with urgent medical care and safe shelter. Darshan and IAF have also taken up the responsibility to implement animal birth control so that newborn strays are saved from the pain of street life. In addition, the NGOs are also raising their voice for the protection of strays through policy advocacy.
But Darshan is struggling to keep up with the cost of medication and the growing number of ill, injured and abused animals. Your support can enable him to embrace even more stray animals in need. Donate today.

Cries of the voiceless
The lives of stray animals are marked by acute suffering and deprivation. The most painful aspect is how they meet their end – helpless and in unbearable pain. They endure several hardships such as harsh weather, starvation and illness but abuse from people is something many dogs and other stray animals succumb to.
“The people who hate animals, when they are unable to drive them away they simply attack them. The inflict grave injuries upon them, or run them over with their vehicles, or even throw hot oil or water on them. There have even been cases where people have stuffed puppies in sacks and thrown them and come”, says Darshan as he narrates the plight of stray animals.
But Darshan and others have resolved to ease the suffering of strays but they can’t do it alone. Donate now
Stand by stray animals
We are giving these strays safe shelter, urgent medical care and rehabilitation.
“I urge each one to come and support us so we can care for a greater number of stray animals and give them a dignified life”, Darshan pleads.
Darshan has made it his life’s mission to provide care shelter to strays. Unfortunately, due to a significant rise in the cost of medicines, he is currently struggling to sustain his shelter and keep its doors open for helpless street animals. Its only your support which can enable him to keep his work going.
Donate to this fundraiser on Give, India’s largest and most trusted online donation platform, to join Darshan’s mission to rescue ill, injured and abused stray animals and provide them urgent medical care.
