Death should be more dignified with equal respect to the unclaimed bodies.

Every month, 15 to 20 unclaimed bodies of unknown or known individuals are left unattended. The relatives leave the dead bodies untouched after death. Suicide cases, railway accidents and Aids patients are also left unattended and left as destitute bodies.

The old aged people who were abandoned during their last breaths were picked up with the help of police and corporation and revenue deportment and public volunteers gave them shelter and buried them due respect with honorable funeral procedures. We feel that this activity is a basic need as so many unclaimed bodies are not properly buried with basic respect and are often left unattended.

It creates a social awareness amongst volunteers and public when they see the dead bodies of these people being buried. It inspires people to take care of their old parents, and to never abandon them.
