With the pressing need for a place where wildlife could be separately treated and rehabilitated, away from the humdrum of domestic animals, ARANYANI, a transit center exclusively for wildlife was flagged off, during the peak pandemic time, thanks to supporters like you. Between April 2020 and March 2021, we have successfully boarded and rehabilitated 400+ wild animals, birds and mammals at this center. Built from scratch, with only a mud cottage that came with the land, the center now has large enclosures for predator birds, primates and other animals which only need resting before they can be released, and 7 enclosures for wounded animals that need to be kept solo. We intend to expand with separate enclosures for acquatic animals and reptiles, however the pandemic has made it difficult for us to raise sufficient funds for the same. A minimum of INR 8,00,000/- ( Eight lakhs ) will be needed for the construction of these enclosures, and another INR 3,50,000/- ( Three lakh Fifty Thousand ) to build the approach road which was completely destroyed during the ravaging monsoons this year.
