Story

According to the National family health survey 2015-16, India has 336 million menstruating women. Reports suggest that India creates staggering 113,000 tonnes of menstrual waste annually that can take over 500-800 years to fully decompose. Lack of proper disposal facilities also leads to overuse of the menstrual hygiene products beyond the recommended time which puts women at risk for infections.

Mahi foundation is working in slum areas in Panipat, Haryana. The women need access to menstrual hygiene products especially during these difficult times, they do not have money to buy their monthly menstrual hygiene products. Through donating resuable cloth pads like the Stonesoup's Ladli kit, the women is able to take care of her monthly period needs upto 3 years.
