💡 The Problem

Over 92% of India’s workforce is in the informal sector — daily wage earners, small farmers, migrants, construction workers, and more. Many are eligible for government welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Suraksha Bima, eShram, ABHA cards, Mundra Loan etc.

Yet, most of them are left out due to:

• ❌ Lack of information & digital literacy
• ❌ No one to guide or support them
• ❌ Agents charging ₹100–₹500 just to apply, without any accountability
• ❌ Documentation challenges and fear of rejection

These barriers stop them from accessing the very support designed to protect them.

At Panah Foundation, through our initiative Online Saathi, we’ve built an integrated, tech-enabled support system to make schemes and services accessible for informal workers.

We provide:

1. 2000+ Government Schemes Information with eligibility check and tracking
2. Local trained 'Saathis' (agents) to help workers apply and follow up
3. Linkages to private services like jobs, insurance & banking.

We ensure no middlemen, transparent process, and doorstep facilitation.

Each donation of ₹750 supports 1 informal worker by

• 📄 Helping them access Ayushman Card OR low-cost private insurance
• 🛡️ Enrolling them in PM Suraksha Bima or Jeevan Jyoti Yojana
• 🧾 Assisting in creation of ABHA ID, eShram or Labour Card
• 📲 Providing end-to-end application support and follow-up via local Saathi

Panah Foundation is an Ahmedabad-based grassroots nonprofit working since 2015 to support migrant and informal workers started by Naresh Sijapati who faced first hand exprince as informal workers himself.

Our initiative Online Saathi is a tech-driven model that connects workers to schemes, jobs, and essential services.

We’ve worked with PWC, CEAT Tyre, Arvind Mills, Teach for India, Sambhav Foundation, LabourNet, and other credible partners in implementing COVID relief, skilling, and health projects across 10+ states and 1000+ Invidual Donors.
