Dishaa Educational Society

Good education is expensive. The families of migrant workers are struggling to meet the high living costs in the cities and are unable to educate their children. The children without any schooling and guidance are at risk of ending up in the company of anti-social elements, an increase in cases of child labour and exploitation of children. All these families have also been hit hard with the loss of work and source of income during the ongoing Pandemic. We have seen the children eager to study and the parents desperate to educate them.

Dishaa Educational Society helps these families secure a future for their children. We have enrolled the kids in mainstream CBSE schools. We seek funds to help pay the fees for the schools and ensure that no child drops out for lack of fees and end up as vulnerable child labour. We would like to make them educated and get skilled and employable by continuing to offer computer training and also offer classes to help them cope with their school curriculum.

We would like to ensure that the children get a good college education in a course of their choice. The children should have access to all the tools to enable them to realize their full potential and get good jobs and be able to support themselves and their families and give back to society. We already have some children who have become graduates from good colleges of DU and are working and supporting their families. We are ensuring that girls get the opportunity to have access to education so that they are not lagging behind in any field
