Story

Over 50 million disabled people live in India and they struggle with no disable-friendly policies and infrastructure. There are, for example, not enough schools dedicated to educating the disabled in the country. As a result, the amount of disabled children who aren’t enrolled in primary schools is more than five times the national rate.

We plan to build an education and rehabilitation centre in Muzzafarpur, Bihar for disabled children that belong to underprivileged families. We will also provide vocational training to students and help them with rehabilitation. Once the students complete their education and training, we offer them job orientation classes from experts so they can find a job as soon as they leave the rehabilitation centre.

Once the centre is ready, we plan to start by educating and rehabilitating about 350 students. After completing the programme, they will have the chance to live a life of independence and dignity while supplementing the family income as well.
