Dream India childrens' support

Dream India volunteer, Chris, has been conducting study sessions to a group of children belonging to BBMP workers, in Babausapalya, Bangalore. He has been conducting classes since 2019 and this year, we wanted to admit some of the children in a good private school so they can explore their full potential.

Thanks to this Give fundraiser, we were able to admit 7 chidlren to a very good affordable private school in the same area. The principal is warm, the teachers are more than happy to support our kids and ensure they come up to speed quickly...in fact one of the teachers in this school taught the kids in their current government school a few months back and promises to take care of them in the new school.

We have secured admission for 7 kids and their funding too (thanks to a Give India campaign) for this year including for their school fee, uniforms, and transportation. Our wonderful community organiser Mr Chris is with them throughout this journey, liaising constantly between the amused and confused parents, the wonderful folks at the school, and the children who are ever-eager to make a mark.

Our budget requirement forecast for the next three years of our Dream India Bangalore BBMP kids schooling project is about 21 lakhs.

Dream India also has been providing educational scholarships for children in need for more than a decade now and last year we supported more than 165 children around the country by paying partial school/college fees for them. We have built a solid network of referrals due to which, we are able to analyze almost every request and carefully process only the most needy children’s cases. But still we are unable to process some of them unfortunately due to lack of finances. 

Our budget requirement forecast for the next three years for the Dream India Educational Scholarships would be around 75L. 

Our total requirement for three years for these two projects is 96L. And please remember, our admin cost last year was 0%! Yes, you read that right! None!

We are a hugely volunteer run organisation with many of the petty expenses coming out of volunteers’ own pockets. And trustees bear all administrative charges themselves. Hence your money goes to the people you want to serve 100%.
