Eco-Friendly Income Generation Programme for the Persons with mild Intellectual Disabilities by Producing Areca Plates

At present, the existing available schemes are addressing only the welfare items like supply of aids and appliances and maintenance grants. No one is even speak about their sustainable livelihood. By launching this Dairy Development programme we can set up a new model for the livelihood openings and may stand as a role model.

• To ensure employment and empowerment of 40 IC personals through computer training.
• To ensure more attention on IC from their care givers.
• To ensure recognition among society and to improve/Up scaling the life style.
• To enable the IC personnel for less dependency, more self-esteem and stood on their own.
• To enable the IC personnel lead normal life without any hurdle

Action Plan

• To establish a training shed and provide training on production of Areca Plates.
• To procure essential training equipment and materials.
• To appoint staff personnel with special qualification to work among the Persons with mild Intellectual Disabilities to carry out planned activities of the project.
• Improving the Life skills of the PwDs, to improve their status
• To look after themselves for their own needs.
• Converge with insurance schemes, NHFDC, etc
• Volunteer for regular services.

Outcome

• Skill Training occurs at nearby place.
• Parents will receive a short relax during training and have a good hope.
• Convergence with government and insurance schemes at a right time.
• It is more cost effective and less expensive for the Eco Friendly usage.
• Reaching the unreached.
