Empowering children with Autism and Intellectual disabilities in a nurturing space to fulfill their purpose 

Inspired by her brother Jayaraj, who lived with an intellectual disability, G. Sayadevi founded Jayam Trust in 2011 in his memory. Jayaraj’s early years were filled with challenges. When he was finally admitted to a special school, Sayadevi was heartbroken to find him restrained to manage his hyperactivity—a moment that ignited her resolve to advocate for children like him. She went on to pursue a B.Ed. in special education, earning the All-India first rank in her diploma course. Jayaraj’s passing at the age of 19, in her arms, only strengthened her commitment to create a safe, dignified, and loving space for children with intellectual disabilities. Today, Jayam Special School stands as a testament to her love, resilience, and unwavering belief that every child deserves the right to learn and dream
