CBM India Trust is a leading not-for-profit development organisation committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in India’s poorest communities. It is registered as CBM India Trust under Indian Trust Act 1882 with registration No. 431/1994. We work all over the country to remove cultural and environmental barriers that limit the full participation of persons with disabilities in health, education, and livelihood. CBM India is the foremost organisation in disability-inclusive development, and we champion sustainable models to break the vicious cycle of poverty and disability. We envision an inclusive, equitable society where all persons with disabilities can achieve their full potential. Our resources and expertise are directed towards minimising the conditions that lead to disability, promoting the voice and autonomy of persons with disabilities, and building inclusive and resilient communities with accessible healthcare and equitable economic and educational opportunities. We also ensure that disaster-affected populations have access to inclusive humanitarian assistance. As part of reduction and prevention of disability, in 2023-2024, 32,99,940​ people reached through various sectorial interventions in driving inclusion in health, education, livelihood and humanitarian disaster risk management though community-based programmes​ of which 52,679 ​persons with disabilities reached in 26 states of India​.
