Education for Terrorism hit Displaced People of Kashmir

Half a million people were displaced from Kashmir due to terrorism as they were forced to leave their homes for safety of their lives. They left behind their land, property and business and started living in tents around Jammu. They live in migrant colonies in Jagti, Jammu and Nagrota. These people are fighting against poverty even though they are educated lot and desirous of imparting good education to their children. The children too are hard working and bright but unable to support their education. These people require little handholding so that they can come out of this vicious cycle.

There are also defense forces giving up their lives fighting terrorism in Kashmir. The scholarship supports the education of their children and of those who become incapable of working due to handicaps on account of the fight for India.

Every year we offer scholarships to support the tuition fee of every child. This is the third year when we are giving this scholarship. The funding for friends and family supported the scholarships for the last two years , however we could not cater to all the requests that we received. Therefore we have created this fund raiser to cater to the applications which we are forced to reject due to lack of funds.

We wish to empower these children by giving them education. Education will enable them to have a higher entitlement in life and hopefuly they will support other underprivileged children when they grow up. This will create a cascade effect over generations and make India a prosperous country.
