Education to Rural Less Privileged Children

Our aim is to educate the rural poor who do not have access to education with facilities at par with urban educational standards at an affordable cost. We shall also be providing them with vocational training so that they can earn their own livelihood.

The BDP School managed by Psycho Educational Society located at Village Barauli, Block Baldeo, Distt. Mathura,UP, India, is imparting value added affordable education from Nursery to Grade VIII, as per the curriculum prescribed by UP Board of Education. The Specialised courses are being taught to train boys and girls in computer technology, sewing, home science, hospitality, medical awareness, etc. The facilities provided in this school are at par with the urban schools and the students have an equal opportunity to develop a well-rounded personality.

Apart from the education imparted at BDP School, PES also arranges for free medical camps in the villages of India with the help of a team of doctors and nurses working in esteemed hospitals in Delhi. This team visits different villages to immunize the children and youth. They also educate men and women about the necessity of health and education in their lives.

Every year, approximately 300 students are educated in this school. They are taught by qualified and experienced teachers. Approximately, 46% of the students in the school are females. Girl education is never a priority for the families in villages. They are mainly sent to work in fields and thus, never get educated. Vocational training program was started in this institute for female students, under which, they are trained in special skills to generate regular source of income for their families which can further help in improving the quality of their lives. Continuous efforts are being made to increase the female student population in the school, so as to ensure that equal opportunities are provided to both genders for a stronger and a brighter future of the villages in India.
