Educational Support to 1000 Underprivileged Children

During the pandemic, underprivileged children have faced severe disruptions in learning. Even as schools reopen, these students face major challenges. One is that their parents cannot afford schooling expenses due to poverty. Secondly, the learning gap of nearly two years is causing fear and disinterest in studies for many children, discouraging them from going back to school. This increases the risk of school dropouts. 

ATMA Foundation is providing educational support to 1000 children from deprived backgrounds. This includes financial and material support costing around INR 600 per month per child for school expenses like fees, books, digital devices and internet expenses for online learning, etc. ATMA also provides online and offline learning support to these children by expert volunteer teachers. An app called ‘ATMA Uyare’ is also functional to enable them to access online tuitions to improve their academic performance.

Children are able to continue their education and excel in academics. They can fulfill their career dreams and break out of the poverty cycle.
