Empathy in Action: Strength Communities and Support Civic Initiatives

The Catalyse Team at Bhumi is a network of passionate volunteers dedicated to making transformative changes in their communities. This team engages in a spectrum of initiatives, each addressing a distinct yet interconnected social issue. Together, they embody the spirit of collective action and responsibility, taking meaningful strides towards creating a better, more sustainable world for all.

Our 'Feeding Stray Dogs' initiative serves as a lifeline for local strays. It is heartwarming to witness over 200 volunteers, this year alone, come together to feed over 2800 animals and help prevent accidents by fitting them with reflective collars. Our goal is to continue this care which will provide quality meals, reflective collars and organize adoption and vaccination drives.

In our 'Tree Plantation' initiative, we are combating climate change by reinforcing global reforestation efforts. Over 2662 volunteers have been part of this go-green movement, planting 10,141 trees and creating a healthier environment. For the current year, we've set a target to significantly increase our tree planting efforts, aiming to add and maintain thousands of saplings.

Our ‘Environmental cleanup initiatives’, including beach, regular cleanups engage thousands of volunteers and resulted in the removal of more than 40,000 Kgs of waste. Notably, during Daan Utsav 2022 and Bhumi's Upcycling month in 2023, our volunteer force came together in full strength, eliminating an additional 14,000 Kgs of debris. With these continuous efforts, Bhumi is making a significant impact in building a cleaner, healthier future for our cities.

Our 'Feeding the Poor' initiative is our second goal which embodies the spirit of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - Zero Hunger. Through 54 events, we've served 18224 food packets, reaching 16436 beneficiaries. This year, we've already organized 23 events, serving 4933 meals. We seek INR 10,00,000 to continue our fight against hunger.
