With over half of India’s population under the age of 25, rural youth carry enormous dreams for the future—but in places like Tumkur, Karnataka, those dreams are often held back by unemployment, limited skills, poor infrastructure, and a lack of guidance. Navya Disha walks alongside these young people as they discover what’s possible. Already, 9,215 rural youth have been supported through various programs that grow with them—starting with life skills and confidence in school, advancing to leadership development, moving to career exploration in college, and finally opening pathways to entrepreneurship and dignified livelihoods. This is not a one-time intervention, but a connected journey that builds leadership, resilience, and self-belief over time. We believe young people are not problems to be fixed, but change-makers waiting to be empowered—especially young women, whose leadership is transforming families and communities.
