Empower disabled people with skills to build a future

Children with disabilities in India are often socially marginalized, some are even rejected by their families. The Jyoti School for hearing impaired works with the aim to combat this stigma and enable hearing-impaired children to take their rightful place in society. The objective of the foundation is to educate disabled children, train them in a specific vocation, and help them find employment to become independent and self-supporting members of the society.

Our school offers a rigorous academic education and teaches vocational skills that allow students to become active members of working world. We emphasize on language, communication and sports to garner holistic development. Our specialist teaching staff and purpose-built environment allows our students to achieve success through a focus on communication, literacy, sports, and social skills. The school boasts of a fully developed vocational training centre that provides training in computers, screen printing, tailoring/sewing, leather crafting, electrical gadget repairing, fabricating electrical gadgets (ceiling fans etc.), and carpentry, among others.

The objective of the foundation is to educate disabled children, train them in a specific vocation, and help them find employment for them to become independent and self-supporting members of the society. Many children from this institute have been successfully employed.
